The memorial for the celebrated DJ was held at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, where cheerful attendees were encouraged to honor the DJ's colorful personality by wearing vibrant colors. Doors opened at 10 a.m. for the service, as scores of people came to swiftly pay their homage to a man who truly made an impact on the airwaves. According to 12 News, the public service began at 11 a.m.
Super Snake, whose voice was a staple for Phoenix listeners, began his rise to fame on Power 92 before making a move to the New York scene. In 2022, he returned to Phoenix, finding a home at radio stations HOT 97.5 and 103.9 FM. His influence and charisma behind the mic were unmatched and deeply engraved into the hearts of his audience.
During this somber time, the family has asked for privacy, while also expressing their profound loss. "We are devastated by this unexpected loss. Snake could make you feel like he was everyone's best friend because he was larger than life," the family said in a statement obtained by ABC15. "We will continue to honor Snake's legacy and ask for privacy now. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support."
