Upon confrontation, the man did not try to shy away from his illicit activity, openly admitting to officers that he was selling the fireworks to the public. This confession swiftly led to his arrest on charges of possession and distribution of illegal fireworks, sending a clear message that the city's crackdown on unsanctioned explosions is more than just a New Year's resolution.
