Get ready for some paws-itively entertaining television, folks! Sarah Silverman is about to take the stage as the host of TBS's new series, "Stupid Pet Tricks," breathing new life into a classic segment from the good ol' days of Late Night With David Letterman. But before this show hits your screens on February 11, they're rolling out a pink carpet that even your four-legged friends can strut on. Yes, you read that right—a traveling tour making pit stops in five U.S. cities is underway for pets to flaunt their silliest stunts.
The tour has already taken off, starting February 3 in Tampa at Cigar City Brewing, and as CultureMap Austin reports, it's set to charm Austin on February 10 at Meanwhile Brewery. The showcase will not only offer the chance for the city's pet owners to trot out their pets’ best tricks, but it may also land a spot on air—one trick per week will be chosen to feature in the series.
According to Talk TV, viewers will get an exclusive preview on Sunday, February 11, aired across a medley of networks including TBS, Discovery, truTV, and Animal Planet. As if that's not enough, celebrity guests like Jon Hamm and Will Ferrell will be bringing on their furry sidekicks for an added sprinkle of star power.
Last but not least, TBS is throwing in some tail-wagging goodies for the human attendees. Expect some pet-friendly photo ops, special giveaways, and noteworthy crowd engagements at the events, brought to you by companies like Ollie, makers of human-grade dog food. The tour stops will also have an altruistic angle, giving you the chance to go home with a new best friend during on-site pet adoptions in partnership with Best Friends Animal Society.
So mark your calendars and leash up. New episodes of "Stupid Pet Tricks" will air every Monday at 8 PM Austin time starting February 12. And remember to use that #MyStupidPetTrick hashtag—bring out your furry friend’s zaniest trick and they might just become the next pet celeb on Silverman's off-the-leash adventure into comedy territory. It's about to be a barking good time on TBS, folks!
