The San Diego Police Department is on a manhunt for Dulce Amaya, the primary suspect in the violent murder of 75-year-old Raymond Corn, according to official reports. The elderly man's suspicious death has left authorities piecing together a narrative of elder abuse that concluded tragically on November 17, 2023, when officers discovered Corn injured at his home on Chamoune Avenue.
Despite initially surviving the attack, Corn's life slipped away in a local hospital on November 28. Investigations in collaboration with the San Diego County Medical Examiner determined his wounds were inconsistent with an accidental fall, revealing a more sinister cause – blunt force trauma indicative of a serious assault. Meanwhile, the San Diego Police Department points to Amaya, described as a 36-year-old Hispanic woman with brown eyes, short brown hair, and distinctive forearm tattoo, as the one responsible for these fatal injuries. The pair had reportedly been living together over the past several months.
As the investigation unfolded, it became evident that what might have once been a friendship had turned into a fatal arrangement, the consequences of which now leave Amaya on the run.
