An elderly woman is fighting for her life after a vicious hammer assault in San Tan Valley, with the suspect now behind bars. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested 39-year-old Patrick Wolfe, accused of the brutal attack which occurred Saturday evening near Gary and Gail roads, according to azfamily.com. Following the altercation, Wolfe allegedly made off with the victim's pickup truck, a 2016 Ford F250 with the Arizona license plate "IRANCHY", complete with horse trailer.
Before the arrest, the community had been on edge as authorities launched a manhunt for Wolfe, illustrating a deeply disturbing narrative of violence striking at the heart of the seemingly tranquil desert community. PCSO had been pleading for public assistance, releasing details of the suspect who is known to have ties not only in the local area but also to Prescott, Arizona, and California, as reported by santanvalley.com. In an effort to capture Wolfe and ensure community safety, local residents were provided with a phone number and email address to report any sightings or information.
Officials have yet to release specific details about what led to the attack, however, the seriousness of the woman’s injuries have resonated throughout San Tan Valley. PCSO's call for vigilance remains, as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this brutal hammer assault. Anyone with additional information is still encouraged to reach out to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
