A one-car crash wreaked havoc on Louetta Road over the weekend when a driver, now detained for suspected intoxication, slammed into a light pole, bringing wires crashing down. The Harris County Sheriff's Office reported the incident, having occurred at the 2200 block of Louetta, causing significant disruptions as the road was shut down in both directions.
According to a post from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, traffic was expected to be affected anywhere between one to five hours as crews worked tirelessly to mend the damage of tangled wires and a fractured pole, the road closure dependent on the span necessary to restore order from the disarray. One man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was detained by the authorities following the incident, with speculation of intoxication.
