The Texas Workforce Commission has rolled out a new digital tool meant to help Texans carve a path to their next career move. Dubbed MyTXCareer, this free app promises to assist users in pinpointing job opportunities that align with their skills and aspirations, a move that the TWC says capitalizes on the state's booming economy and growth, according to a report by KXAN.
As job openings proliferate across the state, the MyTXCareer app offers an intuitive user experience, enabling individuals to discover potential careers complete with details on average salaries, demand, and the financial tenability of each role, "The continued growth of Texas' record-breaking economy creates opportunities for Texans to advance their careers," TWC Chairman Bryan Daniel told TWC Texas, with insights that the tool will help job seekers connect with Texas employers.
Additionally, the app provides support through connecting users with local resources such as Workforce Solutions offices, and for those in the capital, a nod from Daniel in a KXAN interview states that it can help "speed that process up and get back into the workforce" amidst a landscape where job openings outnumber the unemployed.
Making use of the app entails taking quizzes to match personality with careers, while also inputting information like career goals and previous work experience, it also helps employers as stressed by TWC Commissioner Representing Employers, Joe Esparza."The launch of MyTXCareer app is great news for Texas employers because it helps them hire people who are passionate about what they do in the best state in the nation," he enunciated in a TWC Texas release.
TWC Texas additionally lays out that the app is not included with advertisements or in-app purchases, ensuring a streamlined, straightforward experience as Texans navigate through the potential career opportunities available to them in an ever-expansive job market.
