Third Eye Blind is set to heat up the summer with its nationwide "Summer Gods Tour," making a much-anticipated stop in Austin at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater on August 2. The rock band, famous for the '90s hits like "Semi-Charmed Life" and "How's It Going to Be," will embark on a 37-city trek, kicking off June 8 and wrapping up with a Texas trio of shows. Joining in on the nostalgia trip will be Yellowcard and A R I Z O N A, appearing at all venues to likely delight fans of the era, as reported by CultureMap Austin.
Not just serving up a chance to sing along to past chart-toppers, Third Eye Blind is also set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their early hit, "Jumper." The band is commemorating this milestone by releasing the world's first playable silver-coated and karat gold-coated records, an indulgence for collectors with prices starting at a steep $450 for silver and a blinged-out $800 for gold. Details, including prices for a pure gold version, are available through special announcements, as per CultureMap Austin.
With the tour rolling into Saratoga Performing Arts Center on July 16, Third Eye Blind is just one act in a loaded lineup that includes names like Niall Horan and Chicago, with Earth, Wind & Fire among other heavy hitters slated to perform this summer. The show promises to be a highlight in an already jam-packed SPAC schedule, according to Times Union.
