In a similar educational vein, the History Day Hullabaloo on Jan. 16 provides a golden opportunity for history buffs, especially the younger crowd, to sharpen their project skills with one-on-one time with experts.
In addition to expanding minds, the library intends to put patrons' dexterity to the test with a Jigsaw Puzzle Competition scheduled for Jan. 13. Puzzle mavens can form teams to tackle a 500-piece brain teaser for bragging rights. Those less inclined to literature or jigsaw mastery have a chance to indulge their creative side on Jan. 17 with the Reworks Community Upcycled Art project, involving embroidery on paper from outdated books, with necessary materials provided for registered participants, according to Washington County Minnesota.
It should be noted that the library network will take a brief pause on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 15, closing its doors in observance of the holiday.
