The suspect, sporting a black "Parka" jacket, is accused of stealing from an unspecified establishment in West Springfield, as mentioned in a Facebook post by the West Springfield Police Department.
This incident, recorded under WSPD Case #23-839-OF, unfolded on January 13, around 1:00 PM when the male suspect fled from police during an attempted vehicle stop – the individual made a getaway in an older model Toyota Camry, described as a brown or black, carrying unknown or out-of-state paper license plates; and now the authorities are asking for the public to step forward with any information that could lead to his capture.
West Springfield Police have turned to the community for aid, encouraging anyone who can identify the man or has knowledge pertinent to the case to contact Detective Azadan at (413) 263-3210 ext. 272. The department has given assurance that informants can remain anonymous if they choose to do so.
