West Springfield Police are on the lookout for a woman who they say made off with over $2,000 in stolen merchandise from a local Kohl's store. According to the West Springfield Police Department's Facebook page, during Saturday night on January 20, a thief snatched clothing items totaling up to $2,754 - with a penchant for Nike gear - and bolted without ringing up a single tag.
While the alleged shoplifter's identity remains unknown, authorities were able to capture images of suspect. She is reported to have fled in an unlicensed gold Toyota, disappearing before law enforcement could intervene. Residents and anyone who might recognize the suspect from the photos circulated by the police are urged to contact the WSPD Detective Bureau.
The authorities are enlisting the community's help and have specified that tipsters can remain anonymous. Those with any information that may lead to the capture of the shoplifter are encouraged to call 413-263-3210 and request to speak with Detective Azadan.
