Chaos erupted on a tranquil street in Atlanta earlier this week when two armed suspects allegedly took a man's ride at gunpoint and led cops on a wild chase, the Atlanta Police Department reports. The harrowing ordeal began around 8 pm on February 21st when the male victim was confronted by the suspects at 778 Magnolia Way NW. According to the victim's account, the duo brandished their firearms and made off with his car – but not before forcing him into the backseat and driving to another location to pick up an accomplice.
An APD patrol swarmed the vicinity with a detailed description of a stolen vehicle. Their vigilance paid off when the car was spotted prowling near 60 Paschal Blvd. The police signaled for them to halt, but instead of complying, the suspects slammed the gas, the APD stated. With authorization from their supervisors, officers engaged in hot pursuit. The chase ended abruptly when the suspect's vehicle collided with a civilian's car at an intersection, bringing the frantic escape attempt to a grinding halt.
All three suspects were extracted from the wreck by officers and emergency personnel – among them a juvenile, Kentavious Allen, and Jeremiah Boyce, the APD has confirmed. Following the crash, emergency services transported the trio to Grady Detention, nursing injuries they picked up in the smash.
