"Despite my opposition to the bill, it is necessary to clarify that I do not seek to impede any investigations against former President Trump," Jones explained in a recent statement. During its launch on February 9, the committee's bipartisan tone was set, with members from both sides of the aisle reportedly reaching an agreement on rules to govern their future interactions. Jones highlighted the cross-party cooperation, expressing optimism: "I was encouraged by the willingness of the Senate Majority Party to collaborate with the Minority Party in establishing the committee rules," he noted.
