Officers received a high-tech assist Monday night — a stolen vehicle alert from Flock, their License Plate Reader (LPR) technology, which led them to quickly locate and arrest the individual behind the wheel, according to the Bedford Texas Police Department.
Not content to merely rest on their laurels, Bedford officers continued to tirelessly troll the streets. They managed to fully conduct 22 traffic stops from Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Among these routine checks, one-stop escalated when they found a driver with a trove of narcotics and a loaded firearm. The post from the police department commended their officers, saying, "Great work by all involved!" as per the Bedford Texas Police Department.
The effectiveness of the LPR technology was spotlighted in the initial arrest, proving its worth as a tool in the law enforcement arsenal.
