
Two individuals were saved from an early-morning inferno that engulfed a Boston duplex today, authorities have confirmed. The Boston Fire Department responded to a significant blaze that erupted around 4 a.m. in the rear of a two-family residence on Woodbine Street in Roxbury. Firefighters were met with reports of residents trapped inside, prompting them to issue a second alarm to battle the growing flames.
Ambulances rushed to the scene, and first responders were able to extricate the trapped occupants from the burning building,s the fire continued to ravage the structure with smoke billowing into the sky, the morning calm shattered by the wail of sirens and the crackle of consuming fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by local authorities. The Boston Fire Department took to X to alert the public to the incident. They reported "At approximately 4:00 this morning heavy fire in the rear of a 2 family occupied duplex building Woodbine stRox," as detailed in the official post.
