The Boston Police Department has issued a call for public assistance in identifying an individual connected to an attempted breaking and entering in Allston-Brighton. The incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, around 3:15 AM on February 18th, involved a man trying to enter a property at 140 North Beacon Street using a propylene torch to melt the lock.

According to the Boston Police Department, the suspect is described as a light-skinned male with a mustache and a thin build, estimated to be between 5'08" and 5'10" tall and weighing around 200 lbs, he was seen wearing a black knit hat, a scarf or face mask, a hooded sweatshirt over a dark green garment, black pants, black sneakers with white detailing, and gloves during the time of the crime.

Detectives from District D-14 are spearheading the investigation and are actively reviewing the circumstances around the attempted break-in.
