A Hyde Park teen found himself in cuffs after detectives investigating a pizza delivery heist managed to track him down at a local housing development. The Boston Police Department announced the arrest of the 15-year-old, who is now facing charges of Armed Robbery following the incident that occurred on February 7.
According to officials, the attempted pinch took place near 21 Woodglen Rd., and it didn't take long for the local detectives making rounds in the Fairmount Housing Development to spot an individual matching the suspect's description. When they tried to approach him, the teen bolted, leading police on a short-lived chase. Roughly 15-20 minutes of pursuit later, the teen was slapped with cuffs and brought in. Despite a successful arrest, police are still on the lookout for a second suspect who they believe played a part in the foiled robbery.
Detectives subsequently secured a search warrant for the juvenile's residence, where they found evidence linking him to the crime. The teenage suspect from Hyde Park is set to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court, the timing of which has yet to be disclosed.
