Last night, a Brentwood Police Department officer, patrolling Lone Tree Plaza around 8:30 PM, caught a shoplifter red-handed as she tried to make a getaway with a hefty haul of clothes. According to the Brentwood Police Department's Facebook page, the officer spotted 41-year-old Virginia Mobley of Pittsburg stuffing a large amount of clothing into the backseat of a vehicle before hopping into the passenger seat.
The keen-eyed cop quickly conducted a traffic stop and detained both Mobley and the car's driver. Mobley, already on felony probation for a previous burglary conviction, was confirmed to have stolen nearly $650 worth of clothing. In a swift move to uphold the law, Mobley was booked into jail, accused not only of shoplifting but also of opting to violate her terms of probation brazenly.
