A man and his stepson are behind bars after being charged with a brutal home invasion in Buckeye where they allegedly pilfered a necklace worth a whopping $38,000. The duo is accused of the December 14 crime that not only involved theft but reportedly had them terrorizing a family member with their display of firepower and violence.
Forty-three-year-old Sennecaa Pentard and 22-year-old Da Lohn Young face a litany of charges such as burglary, armed robbery, kidnapping, and aggravated assault, according to the Buckeye Police reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. In a statement obtained by the same source, police divulged that the alleged assailants brandished weapons during the heist, with Pentard alleged to have pistol-whipped a man inside the home. They made off with the jewelry, only after unleashing a round from a firearm, and while a woman and her infant child were upstairs.
Following the incident, detectives were able to single out the accused partly through video captured by the home's security cameras. Their findings led to a grand jury indictment nearly two months after the fact. In a collaborative effort, Pentard was arrested by Buckeye PD and U.S. Marshals in Avondale while the NCIS nabbed Young in Dallas, as AZ Family shared.
Details surrounding the specific injuries sustained by the victims are scant, police did share that the victim suffered minor injuries, despite the apparent violence of the ordeal.
