In the early hours of January 28th, a man became the victim of a brutal crime when he was forcibly ejected from his vehicle and struck by a car on the 400 block of E. 71st Street in Chicago; the thugs responsible then commandeered his car, and fled the scene. This aggravated vehicular hijacking, cataloged under case number JH-133743, has prompted Area One detectives to issue a community alert, as they work to identify the subjects involved in this heinous act.
The incident, occurring at approximately 3:32 a.m. according to a statement obtained by the Chicago Police Department, left the victim with severe injuries after the force of the collision propelled by the hijackers callously indifferent to his life - they made away with his vehicle diving deeper into the heart of the night. Police are urging the public to be vigilant if they come across the suspects, advising citizens to dial 9-1-1 with a location and description but to maintain a safe distance to avoid potential danger.
The Chicago PD has not yet released descriptions of the perpetrators, maintaining a tight seal on details to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation, however, witnesses and individuals with relevant information are strongly encouraged to step forward. The department emphasizes that the safety of the public is paramount, imploring residents to "Never Approach the subject" and to prioritize their well-being and that of those around them while aiding law enforcement efforts.
