A brazen robbery unfolded on Southeast Division Street in Portland as a child was nearly abducted by three suspects Tuesday evening. According to KPTV, the Portland Police responded to the scene around 6 p.m. after receiving reports of the ongoing incident.
The young girl was in a running car waiting for her father, who had stepped inside their home briefly. It was then that the trio of suspects attempted to quickly drive off with the vehicle. "There was a struggle, but the child was able to get out of the car and escape," according to Portland Police as cited in the KPTV report.

KOIN news reports highlight the resilience of the young girl, who fought to free herself from a potentially life-threatening situation. "After a struggle, officials said the girl managed to free herself and get out of the car," according to a statement police cited by KOIN news.
As the investigation continues, The Portland Police are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects. Community members with knowledge of the incident are strongly encouraged to come forward and assist law enforcement in their efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
