Chocolate aficionados in the western suburbs of Boston are in for a treat, as ChocAllure, a high-end chocolate company, has opened the doors to its first brick-and-mortar store on Central Avenue in Wellesley Square. The shop will be featuring a gamut of handmade items ranging from ornate chocolate hearts to dazzling chocolate jewels, alongside classic bars and specialized gift sets; ChocAllure also offers a luxurious Chocolate-of-the-Month Club Collection for those looking to indulge regularly.
The journey of ChocAllure started during the COVID-19 pandemic, this is when the founder, Liron Gal, took a leap from technology to chase a dream steeped in the art of chocolate craft—her vision was simple, yet ambitious: to reimagine the very essence of chocolate, Gal's endeavor isn't just a solo expedition, she's backed by an all-women staff, each bringing their creativity and craft to the forefront of the chocolate scene in this quaint Boston suburb.
According to a Boston Restaurants blog post, the new ChocAllure shop is located at 87 Central Street, a prime location that hopes to attract both locals and visitors to the area. Those unable to make the journey can still experience the essence of ChocAllure's offerings through their website, where online purchases can be made.
Fine French chocolate is at the heart of ChocAllure's products, which, according to their website, are crafted using chocolate from Valrhona, a B Corporation recognized not only for its exquisite taste but also for the company's ethical approach to sourcing its cocoa beans, Liron Gal herself was trained at some of the world's most prestigious institutions including Ecole Lenôtre in Paris and the Barry Callebaut chocolate academy in Chicago, studying under revered chocolatiers such as Jean-Pierre Wybauw, Melissa Coppel, and Frederic Hawecker, ensuring that every piece of chocolate from ChocAllure is a bite of true artisan mastery.
While the shop is a new venture for ChocAllure, its online presence and reputation have been well-established, as the brand has been redefining chocolate indulgence from the virtual realm to this tangible, interactive experience in Wellesley—allowing chocolate lovers to witness firsthand the delicate and precise craft that goes into each handmade artisanal creation.
