After a couple reported receiving the incorrect ballot during advance voting on Monday, election staff dug into the matter, only discovering that the 194 ballots issued last Friday should have included 75 Democratic ones but erroneously contained solely Republican choices. To remedy the blunder, the Cobb Elections and Registration team promptly nullified the 75 incorrect ABM ballots, as reported by Cobb County's official news release.
"We are happy this situation was found quickly," said Elections Director Tate Fall in a response brimming with relief. The elections office has assured the public that they've contained the error to the batch dispatched on February 23, confidently addressing the oversight by resending the proper ballots post-haste on the following Tuesday.
