The National Weather Service is forecasting a streak of sunny skies and climbing temps, starting with a comfortable high near 77 today. Tonight, the sky over Dallas will keep mostly clear while temperatures dip to a cool 56, though those south winds aren't taking a break – they'll keep humming at 10 to 15 mph and could keep gusting as high, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Wednesday will practically be a carbon copy of today, except it'll manage to notch the mercury up a bit higher near 78 degrees, and those south winds will not give up, they'll be blowing harder at 10 to 20 mph and gusts might reach up to 30 mph.
Wednesday night's not looking too shabby with just a few clouds passing by and a low around 61, but keep your windows shut unless you want that south wind at 15 to 20 mph – with gusts as high as 30 mph. Thursday, the sun keeps the stage all to himself with a high near 76, though the wind's switching teams, coming from the south-southwest at 15 mph before the north-northwest takes over in the afternoon – hold onto your hats with those gusts up to 25 mph.
Come nightfall on Thursday, the story's the same – mostly clear, with the thermostat dropping to the 50s and the north-northwest wind stubbornly sticking around at 15 mph blowing in cooler temps and gusting up to 25 mph. Friday will stay sunny with a high near 70, while the north wind, persistent as ever, maintains its pace at 10 to 15 mph and dares to gust up to 20 mph; but by Friday night, peace returns to the wind department, calming down to 5 to 10 mph and making a west southwest cameo in the evening.
The weekend is a repeat performance of splendid sunshine – Saturday sees highs near 73 and a gentle west-southwest wind turning south in the PM hours. Saturday night's mostly clear, with a pleasant low around 53. And come Sunday, you'll be turning on the AC with highs approaching 79, but as night rolls in, expect some clouds to gather with lows hitting around 60, for Monday, it's back in the 80s, but this time with a party of clouds overhead.
