Dallas residents can look forward to a week of mostly sunny skies and steadily climbing temperatures, according to the National Weather Service. Today will be sunny with a high near 72 degrees and north northwest winds reaching up to 20 mph.
Tonight's forecast promises mostly clear conditions with a low around 48 degrees. The weekend will kick off with sunshine and a high near 76 on Saturday, followed by an even warmer Sunday topping out at 81 degrees. However, those planning outdoor activities on Sunday night should take note of the potential increased wind gusts, which could hit as high as 30 mph.
Monday will bring the start of a significant warm-up, with the sunny day's high expected near 89 degrees. Into the night, the skies will become mostly cloudy, with temperatures only dropping to about 65 degrees. Tuesday's temperatures are anticipated to remain high, possibly reaching 85 degrees, despite an increase in cloudiness.
The chances of rain creep into the forecast by Tuesday night, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Wednesday and Thursday offer similar possibilities for precipitation, albeit with a modest drop in temperature—Wednesday's high is estimated around 67 degrees, while Thursday could see highs around 63 degrees.
After the sun begins to dip on Wednesday, a 20 percent chance of showers continues through the night, setting a cooler tone for the latter half of the week. Dallas denizens should keep an umbrella close by, as those shower chances rise to 30 percent on Thursday.
