The quest for an alleged road rage shooter has rattled the city of Dalton, as local police intensify their manhunt. Dalton Police are on the lookout for 29-year-old Damien E’Shaud Johnson, accused of firing shots at another vehicle during a vicious road rage encounter near a popular eatery last Sunday, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
According to authorities, two motorists were embroiled in a high-stakes dance of aggression on the road that spiraled out of control. One behind the wheel of a white Audi, the other commanding a gray Honda Accord, their conflict swiftly escalated beyond mere vehicular clash. The Audi driver purportedly escalated the hostilities, unleashing a volley of bullets towards the Honda on East Walnut Avenue. The driver of the Honda emerged unscathed, yet their car bore the brunt of the attack, with police confirming the vehicle was struck.
The situation deteriorated further when the Audi driver, fleeing the reality of his deeds, vanished from the scene, while the targeted driver awaited the custodians of law and order. Efforts by the WSB-TV report revealed that the trail led to the Holly Trace Apartments where the suspect's vehicle lay abandoned, a silent witness to the earlier chaos. Alas, by the time the officers arrived, Johnson had already taken flight on foot.
Described as a male standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, Johnson was last seen sporting a white tank top and an Atlanta Braves baseball cap. The Dalton Police Department holds warrants charging Johnson with aggravated assault, and, reckless driving. The public, gripped by concern, has been urged to report any sightings or information regarding Johnson's whereabouts to the authorities by calling 911, thereby playing a crucial role in the weaving of justice.
