
The San Antonio Police Department is on the lookout for Max Mendiola, a 39-year-old man with special needs who vanished last Sunday. Mendiola, who has an intellectual disability, was last seen around 11:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Amaya Street on the city's west side, according to KENS 5.
Standing 5’4” tall and about 130 pounds, Mendiola, has brown hair, brown eyes, and distinct tattoos that cover his face, neck, chest, and left shoulder. He was spotted last in a dark blue Nike sweater, beige khaki pants and blue tennis shoes. The authorities, who believe that his disappearance poses a "credible threat to his own health and safety," have issued an Endangered Missing Alert, urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in his safe return.
Efforts to locate Mendiola have intensified, with police and the community mobilizing to spread the word. People who might have seen Mendiola or have knowledge of his whereabouts are encouraged to contact the San Antonio Police Department's Missing Person's Unit. Reflecting the urgency of the situation, the SAPD has opened up a dedicated line at (210) 207-7660 for tips and leads, noted in a report from FOX San Antonio.
