Chaos unfolded in the streets of Enfield as a high-speed chase involving midnight shift officers and a rogue vehicle came to a head. According to the Enfield Police Department's K9 unit's Facebook page, officers were compelled to halt a police pursuit due to the State Pursuit Policy, shortly after they had attempted to pull over the vehicle earlier this morning. The offenders, however, were not free for long. Police officers soon located the abandoned vehicle, and two male suspects quickly fled the scene on foot.
Responsibility soon fell upon the Enfield Police Department's K9 Duke to quickly, but thoroughly, scour the area. K9 Duke, with trained precision, managed to successfully track down one of the juvenile suspects behind the displacement of a neighborhood hot tub. Meanwhile, the second suspect couldn't seem to escape the police perimeter and was found by other units engaging in the search. The suspects in question were both juveniles and, despite their attempt to elude the law, were ultimately released to the guardianship of their responsible parties.
Enfield residents were reminded of the indispensable role police dogs like K9 Duke play in maintaining public safety. "K9 Duke tracked through multiple yards and located one of the males hiding behind a hot tub," noted the Enfield Police Department’s official social media post.
