Major League Soccer enthusiasts working for the City of Dallas are in for a treat as FC Dallas rolls out discounted tickets exclusively for city employees, kicking off with their home opener on Feb. 24 and continuing with games on Mar. 2 and Mar. 16, the City of Dallas announced. Additional discount game dates will pop up monthly, offering city workers more chances to catch the action at Toyota Stadium for a fraction of the usual price, according to the City of Dallas.
Making the situation sweeter is the declaration of Mar. 2 as City of Dallas Night, aligning with Employee Appreciation Day, and to bag those special tickets, city employees must hustle and place their orders online before the deadline strikes on Feb. 26 at 11:59 p.m; convenient links and instructions to snatch these deals can be located on the City of Dallas Employee Perks page, as stated in their corporate newsletters. City employees can anticipate recognition at halftime during the dedicated match, a dazzling drone light show, and to top it off, an exclusive photo opportunity to immortalize their team spirit.
In a shift from the on-field action, Dallas Animal Services welcomes the recruits with Jennifer Ha taking charge as the Animal Services Coordinator for the Foster team, Marlo Clingman returning for a stint as Coordinator on the Marketing team, and KD Clancy stepping in as Coordinator for Foster-to-Adopt, as per the City of Dallas. They each bring a personal touch to the job; Ha with her viral pup Jewels, Clingman with her preference for remote work from sunny California, and Clancy ready to shake things up in the Foster-to-Adopt program.
Standing ovations were bestowed on various teams within the Animal Services division, from the Adoptions and Marketing teams who brought Mardi Gras to the shelter's corridors to the Animal Care and Adoptions Teams who received glowing praise from an adopter whose initial pick for a furry family addition did not go as planned, but eventually led to a surprise match—"Within 3 minutes we found the perfect girl for our family," the delighted adopter recounted, per the City of Dallas. The personnel at Dallas Animal Services have proven time and again to be the unsung heroes in crafting these authentic connections among pets and people, with the march of events and insights flowing through the organization for the betterment of animal care and fostering informed communities.
