A tragic event unfolded on the streets of San Jose when a female pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle reversing out of a driveway. The San Jose Police Department disclosed the incident occurred in the 800 block of Saratoga Avenue on February 10 at around 2:09 PM. The victim, whose identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified, was hit by a 2004 tan Volkswagen Touareg and later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The driver, an adult male, stayed at the scene and is said to have cooperated with the law enforcement officials investigating the collision.
