Four Michigan men are now occupying cells after state police cracked down on what appears to be a drug trafficking ring stretching into Traverse City from Muskegon, as reported by WWJ Newsradio 950. Last Tuesday's bust came courtesy of the tireless surveillance efforts of the Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT).
According to the authorities, the men — ranging in age from 20 to 29 — had been piloting a rental car stuffed with narcotics on a so-called 'regular basis' up north. Inside this unassuming vehicle, troopers discovered an arsenal of controlled substances: 114 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 58 grams of cocaine, 31 grams of fentanyl, 6 grams of heroin, 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, 5 oxycodone pills, and, as if taken from a crime movie set, $1,860 in cash, detailed WWJ Newsradio 950.
The Grand Traverse County Jail has become the temporary residence for the quartet, each hit with a $75,000 bond on various possession charges. A release by upnorthlive detailed the charges as possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin.
The men fell into the trap that had been set by police operatives in Garfield Township. Yet, even with the men behind bars, the authorities hint at a sprawling web as the investigation forges ahead, as indicated by manisteenews.
