
Gunfire erupted in Moultrie, Georgia, wounding three youths. The agency has stepped in at the request of local police to unravel the circumstances of the Sunday shootout on public housing grounds. According to Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the incident occurred approximately at 4:20 p.m. on February 25.
Initial findings depict a chaotic scene where an assembly of minors were suddenly cornered and shot at by two assailants, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation revealed. Whilst three were struck by bullets, sustaining non-fatal injuries, the emotional scars of such violence on both victims and community can't be ignored, and authorities are actively searching for the individuals responsible for the assault, that has till now resulted in zero arrests.
The victims, whose names and ages have not been disclosed to protect their privacy as minors, received medical attention at a local hospital, and the GBI has informed the public that all three are recovering from their wounds. The shooting has put a spotlight on the Moultrie Housing Authority property located on 5th Street NW, reminding us of the pervasive and random nature of gun violence that plagues even the most unassuming corners of America.
