The H-E-B grocery chain is expanding its footprint in the Texas Hill Country, unveiling plans for a $28 million renovation of its Kyle location. At the heart of this upgrade is the launch of a new wellness clinic, poised to deliver a variety of health services to the local community. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation revealed that this clinic is slated for construction within the store's existing structure, with a budget earmarked at $212,500 for the clinic itself.
According to a report by MySanAntonio, the construction will commence this spring with the renovations expected to reach completion before year's end. The clinic's makeover starts on May 8 and is set to be wrapped up by October 23.
The revitalized space will encompass a clinic spanning 1,652 square feet, designed to offer primary care and nutrition services among other wellness offerings. The upcoming H-E-B Wellness Clinic aims to introduce a "fresh perspective to wellness," as noted on the store's website. It will represent just one facet of the extensive renovation works that will eventually touch upon various structural and service enhancements within the 32,952-square-foot H-E-B store.
Details obtained from an MRT.com article specify that the interior fit-out of a white box shell lease space within the grocery store will cater to the clinic setup. Alongside the structural transformations, there will also be considerable additions to support mechanical, electrical, lighting, fire protection, communications, and security systems within the store.
The store, which lies at 5401 S. FM 1626, Kyle, TX 78640, will see all of its sweeping $28 million upgrades come to fruition by late next year. By November 29, 2025, the H-E-B plus! expansion is expected to be completely finished, adding a new dimension to the shopping experience for the Kyle community and surrounding areas.
