The hit musical Hamilton is set to make its grand return to Dallas this spring, and fans are buzzing with anticipation. According to NBC DFW, those looking to catch the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning sensation can snag their tickets now as they went on sale on February 8. The show will be gracing the stage of the Winspear Opera House from May 8 through June 9 as part of the Broadway Dallas’ Germania Insurance Broadway Series.
Straddling the historic grounds of the Dallas Arts District, the Winspear Opera House promises to deliver a more intimate "Hamilton" experience compared to past venues. It offers 2,200 seats, providing a cozy atmosphere compared to the larger Music Hall at Fair Park, which seats 3,420. Aspiring attendees should step on it, though, because tickets range from $39 to $189, with premium seats also available starting at $199, per Hamilton Dallas. And for those feeling lucky, a lottery for 40 $10 seats will be held for all performances, though the specifics will be revealed closer to the show dates.
In a statement obtained by NBC DFW, Hamilton's producer Jeffrey Seller cautioned theatergoers against fraudulent tickets, urging fans to only use BroadwayDallas.org for purchasing. "It's tempting to get tickets any way you can. There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Dallas engagement should be made through BroadwayDallas.org," Seller said.
This marks the third time "Hamilton" has toured through Dallas, following prior engagements in 2019 and 2021. The show has continuously garnered critical acclaim for its unique blend of hip-hop, jazz, and R&B with traditional Broadway tunes, etching its mark on not just the theatre community, but on culture and politics at large. The brainchild of Lin-Manuel Miranda, "Hamilton" is based on Ron Chernow’s lauded biography of the same name, chronicling the life of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton with a compelling narrative, and mesmerizing choreography.
For those who can't catch the show in Dallas, they'll have another chance when "Hamilton" heads to Fort Worth, where it will take the stage at Bass Performance Hall from June 11 through June 23. With a narrative that continues to resonate and inspire, and songs that stick, "Hamilton" remains a must-see. So if you're aiming to be part of the phenomenon, now's the time to act.
