A routine traffic stop by Harris County law enforcement ended in the arrest of a man for possession of a controlled substance earlier this week. On February 2, during an operation by Constable Mark Herman's Special Operations Unit, a deputy pulled over a vehicle on Spring Stuebner Road. The driver was identified as Joshua Srubar.
Officials report that a Constable K9 was quickly brought to the scene and managed to positively alert deputies to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. Upon searching, officers found and seized Xanax pills. According to a statement released on the Precinct 4 Facebook page, "Joshua Srubar was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance."
The bond for Srubar was set low, at $100.00, and is to be processed out of County Court 13, as noted by Constable Herman in the publication. The incident has brought to light again the ongoing struggle that law enforcement faces with narcotics in Harris County.
