In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Holyoke Police Department, joined by the Hampden County Sheriff's Department, brought the hammer down on a narcotics operation in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Yesterday, law enforcement served search warrants at 103 and 107 Newton Street, including two vehicles tied to these locations. This action was the final move in a multi-month investigation into the open-air drug market peddling fentanyl and cocaine.

The sting, part of Operation Safe Streets, was no small feat and resulted in the arrest of three men allegedly linked to the operation. Confiscated in the raid were large quantities of fentanyl and cocaine, beyond, an unlicensed firearm, ammo, and a hefty sum exceeding $25,000 in cash. The operation targeted the sort of street-level drug dealing that has haunted the community.

According to the Holyoke Police Department's Facebook page, Eric Ramos Berrios, Antonio Luis Perez Gonzalez, and Miguel Gonzalez Cruz are now facing multiple charges related to drug possession, distribution, and conspiracy. Miguel Gonzalez Cruz also faces additional charges including trafficking heroin, firearm possession during the commission of a felony, and the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
