A woman faced assault and retaliation charges after allegedly punching a 57-year-old woman and threatening to attack a deputy constable during an arrest in Harris County. Law enforcement officials arrived at a disturbance in the 25000 block of Stone Mill Lane, where the altercation unfolded.
According to the Facebook post of Constable Mark Herman's Office, the suspect identified as Aliah Kizzie reportedly struck the victim in the face with a closed fist. The assault caused the older woman pain and visible injury. In a subsequent and tense encounter with a deputy constable, Kizzie allegedly threatened to commit further acts of violence as soon as her restraints were removed.
Constable Herman detailed the sequence of events and the charges that followed in a social media statement. "Aliah Kizzie was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Assault and Retaliation. Her total bond was set at $10,000.00 out of the 185th District Court and County Court 5," his post read.
The nature of the initial argument that precipitated the assault was not detailed by the authorities. Kizzie's bond conditions and whether she has obtained legal representation are likewise not currently public. Details about the health status of an assaulted victim were also not immediately available. The case remains an open investigation by local authorities.
