A man has been nabbed for cruising around in a hot set of wheels, thanks to vigilant deputies and Texas Department of Transportation Air Support. The high-flying snitch spotted the car in question and reported it to the boys in blue in Harris County on Wednesday.
The arrest unfolded on the 17400 block of the North Freeway after crimefighters backed by sky surveillance chased down the reported stolen vehicle. They pulled over the driver, Robert Cooper, and slapped the cuffs on him. It turns out, Cooper had a little more than just car theft to worry about, he was carrying around an open Misdemeanor Warrant, Constable Mark Herman, detailed the bust in a social media post.
Cooper faces charges for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Constable Herman summed it up: "Robert Cooper was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle. His bond and court information have not been set at this time."
