Another one bites the dust in Harris County as a habitual drunk driver rams into trouble for the third time. Law enforcement charged 56-year-old George Fillman with Driving While Intoxicated after he allegedly caused a collision on January 31 that had deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office rushing to the 19200 block of W Lake Houston Parkway. Witnesses described Fillman as clearly impaired, stumbling over the concrete reality of his situation.
Reports obtained by the Houston Constable's Office indicate that Fillman was administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Officers determined he was likely to be intoxicated again, adding another chapter to his book of poor decisions. Prior encounters with the law revealed two convictions for the same offense, setting the scene for a harsher spotlight this third time around.
Constable Mark Herman's Office quickly took Fillman off the streets, booking him into the Harris County Jail. Charged with Driving While Intoxicated—3rd Offense, Fillman's run of luck has seemingly dried up. The courts are currently holding him on a bond set at $20,000.
Life often offers second chances but seems less forgiving on the third go. Fillman, who is now potentially facing serious time behind bars, appears to have to seriously reconsider how he navigates the journey of life—especially when behind the wheel. "George Fillman was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated-3rd Offense. His bond was set at $20,000.00 out of the 180th District Court," Constable Mark Herman conveyed firmly in a statement.
