Houston-area law enforcement nabbed a man wanted on multiple felony charges, authorities announced today. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office, while investigating a suspicious vehicle on Huffmeister Road, identified and arrested Dawson Hebert, according to a statement on Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page.
In a routine patrol turned arrest operation, officers discovered that Hebert was the subject of outstanding warrants for assault on a peace officer, and harassment of a public servant. The encounter, which transpired in the 10500 block of Huffmeister Road, escalated from a suspicious car check to a full-blown take-down of a wanted suspect.
"Dawson Herbert was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for felony warrants," Constable Mark Herman stated. The details of his bond and upcoming court appearances have yet to be established. At the moment, his confinement is sans a set bond or defined court schedule.
Details surrounding the incidents that led to the issuance of Hebert's warrants were not immediately disclosed by officials. However, the allegations against him are grave; assaulting a peace officer, and harassing a public servant are offenses that, if proven, threaten the fundamental respect and safety due to those in service to the law.
