A routine traffic stop on W Greens Road in Houston escalated to a felon apprehension earlier this week, when a Corporal working under Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled over a vehicle. The Corporal's standard procedure rapidly unfolded into a significant bust as the driver, identified as Renel Thrasher, was found to have existing warrants for his arrest.
Upon further inquiry, it turned out Thrasher was no stranger to law enforcement, with an open felony warrant for dangerous drugs originating from the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, along with another pair of misdemeanor warrants to his name. Constable Herman's office stated that Renel Thrasher was detained and subsequently booked into Harris County Jail for the open warrants, as per a social media update on Constable Herman's Facebook page.
Details regarding Thrasher's bond and court appearances were not immediately available following his arrest. In the constellation of crime and punishment, a suspect like Thrasher is a small dot that gets connected to a larger picture, one that the officers at Constable Herman's Office paint day after diligent day.
