HPD on the lookout for two after a cold-blooded murder rocked a Houston neighborhood last December. Marcus Roberson, 36, was gunned down at 8701 Mesa Drive during early morning hours, and police are scouring the area for leads. They've now released chilling surveillance footage of the two suspects responsible for the slaying.
Clad in masks and hoodies, the suspects' details remain scarce—described only as two black or hispanic males, one with a heavyset build. They were last seen making a quick getaway in a white, newer model Chevrolet Malibu. The video is available on the City of Houston's news release.
The fatal incident unfolded on December 6, 2023, around 4:25 a.m. HPD patrol officers arrived in response to a robbery call, only to discover a grim scene with Roberson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite swift action by the Houston Fire Department personnel, Roberson's life couldn't be saved.
Detectives M. Condon and J. Brown, of the HPD Homicide Division, are spearheading the investigation into the tragic incident. With few leads to go on, authorities are urging anyone with information on the suspects or the vehicle to come forward.
