A wild chase through the streets of Northwest Miami-Dade ended with an out-of-state man in custody after he slammed into multiple cars in a desperate bid to evade police. The suspect, hailing from Kentucky, stirred chaos earlier today as he tried to duck arrest, leaving a trail of wrecks behind him.
The pursuit began when the fugitive bolted from officers who had him cornered. His escape act took a dangerous turn as he barreled into a vehicle at Northwest 103rd Street and 27th Avenue, then high-tailed it from the scene. The fugitive's frantic flight didn't end there: he caused further destruction down the road at the intersection of Northwest 118th Street and 27th Avenue, as reported by WSVN.
It was there, amid bent metal and broken glass, that his run came to a crashing halt. The vehicle he was driving flipped, putting a stop to the bedlam. Miami-Dade Police were quick to take the dust-covered driver into custody, whisking him away to Ryder Trauma Center where he was listed in stable condition.
This chase prompted an alert from the Miami Police Department, warning locals to steer clear of the area due to the ongoing traffic crash investigation. The perimeter affected was NW 3-5th Ave along 20th St, with motorists advised to find alternate routes, according to a post by the Miami PD on X.
