Lancaster Welcomes Ono Hawaiian BBQ's Authentic Island Flavors Soon to NEC Avenue KSource: Facebook/Ono Hawaiian BBQ

Lancaster residents, get ready for a taste of the tropics as Ono Hawaiian BBQ sets up shop in your neighborhood, according to the company's website. The fast-growing family-owned chain, founded in 2002, is famed for its authentic Hawaiian-style meals manning the grill at each of its locations.

The new spot at NEC Avenue K and 15th Street West will offer a menu that includes the chain's signature plate lunches featuring your choice of protein, two scoops of rice, a scoop of their macaroni salad and vegetables, What Now Los Angeles reported. They also have Aloha plates with options like Hawaiian BBQ chicken or beef, Kalua pork and island white fish and these dishes are served on a bed of steamed rice with a side of salad Waldorf and Caesar step aside.

At the helm is CEO Joshua Liang, whose leadership has steered Ono Hawaiian BBQ to over 100 corporate-owned stores across California and Arizona, with the Lancaster outlet marking another growth spurt in the L.A. area. The freshness and made-from-scratch approach are hallmarks of the chain, promising a grilled-to-perfection meal every time.

The buzz around town is building, but Ono Hawaiian BBQ hasn't set a formal opening date for the Lancaster location just yet, so locals will have to wait a bit longer to indulge in those island flavors that seem a step closer to sandy beaches and sun-soaked days despite the absence of sea in sight as we know it, the eatery's website has yet to post a countdown but stay tuned.
