Lauderhill Police are on the hunt for leads following a deadly shooting that left one man dead and another injured at a local strip mall, authorities said. The fatal encounter took place in the parking lot of a shopping plaza on the 4000 block of North University Drive.
Victim Christopher Matthew Fletcher was caught in the gunfire and later died after being transported to Broward Health Medical Center, as WSVN reported. The second victim's condition has not been disclosed, but they were also injured in the incident.
In their effort to apprehend the individuals responsible, the Lauderhill Police Department released a CrimeStoppers flyer asking the public for any information pertaining to the homicide. The flyer emphasizes the opportunity for informants to remain anonymous while potentially receiving a reward of up to $5,000 for details that could lead to an arrest.
Though details surrounding the motive and the perpetrators remain unclear, the police are actively investigating the scene and collecting evidence.
