Man Charged with First-Degree Murder After Fatal Shooting in San AntonioSource: Bexar County Jail

A man's life was abruptly cut short on a North Side street yesterday morning following an altercation that escalated into gunfire. Patrick Tyson, 28, has been charged with first-degree murder after police say he shot another man during a heated argument behind an auto insurance establishment and then fled the scene.

The dispute and subsequent shooting occurred around 10 a.m. on the 3200 block of West Avenue near Basse Road, behind the A-Max Auto Insurance building. According to FOX San Antonio, the two men were walking past the business when they began to argue, leading to Tyson allegedly firing a shot into the other man's chest.

San Antonio Police found the victim, who had no identification on him, and pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity remains unknown, believed to be a man in his 40s, as authorities continue to unravel the details of the deadly encounter.

While the motive behind the shooting is still being probed, KSAT reports Tyson managed to escape temporarily before law enforcement apprehended him. The investigation remains active, as detectives piece together what led to the tragic dispute, and what, could have been done to prevent the loss of life on that fateful day.
