HIALEAH, Fla. – A man is in police custody following a failed armed robbery attempt afternoon today in the Hialeah area. The Hialeah Police confirmed the incident occurred near the busy crossroads of East 11th Street and 25th Street, which was briefly the center of a tense law enforcement operation.
According to Local 10 News, after issuing a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) alert for the armed individual, police were able to track down the suspect who was found making his way north on East Eighth Avenue at around 47th Street, this culminated in the suspect's arrest. Aerial footage from Sky 10 captured the moment police surveyed a residence in the aftermath of the chase.
Details regarding the suspect's age or identity remain undisclosed by the authorities at this time. It has also not been confirmed whether any shots were fired or if there were any injuries resulting from the attempted robbery.
