Violence shattered the early morning calm at a San Antonio motel earlier today when a man was left bleeding and robbed in what appeared to be a brutal stabbing. San Antonio Police responded to the Quality Inn, situated off Interstate 10 and near UTSA Boulevard, around 5:30 a.m. to a vicious assault that left the victim with multiple stab wounds. According to KENS5, authorities found the hotel splattered in blood upon their arrival.
The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, conveyed to the police that his attackers had robbed and then proceeded to stab him. However, his condition at the time made it difficult for him to provide a detailed account of the events. According to KSAT interview, SAPD Sgt. Abina Elliotte said, "He was not exactly able to tell us what happened, so that investigation is still ongoing."
The scene at the motel, roped off by police, featured a grim trail of bloody footprints that intrigued investigators as the prints seemed to lead away from the ground-floor room where the attack took place. Initial police reports suggest that the incident happened during a robbery. It is currently uncertain whether the bloodied prints belong to the victim or the assailant, as no arrests were announced in the immediate hours following the stabbing.
