A 35-year-old man was shot in the hand during a robbery on Chicago's West Side late Saturday night, as confirmed by police.
The incident took place around 11:50 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Huron Street in the Humboldt Park area, the victim was approached by two assailants who demanded his belongings and subsequently shot him as he attempted to escape, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
Following the shooting, the man was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was treated for his gunshot injury; authorities reported that he was in good condition. Details on the severity of the wound or the specifics of the stolen items have not been disclosed as of yet.
There have been no arrests made in connection with the robbery and shooting, Chicago police are investigating the case but as of now, the attackers remain at large according to information from ABC7 Chicago.
