A man was left with a bullet wound to the arm after gunfire erupted in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood, authorities said Monday.
The incident unfolded on the 100 block of North 85th Street on Sunday just past 8:00 p.m., when police rushed to the scene following reports of a shooting. Officers found an adult male in the throes of injury, according to Seattle Police Department's blotter.
First responders delivered immediate aid before the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center. Thankfully, he is expected to recover, as the injuries have been described as non-life threatening.
Preliminary information suggests there was a disturbance prior to the gunfire. Witnesses at the scene conveyed to police that a confrontation apparently set off the assailant, who then shot the victim and bolted from the vicinity on foot, the blotter detailed.
The perpetrator remains at large, and detectives continue to investigate the motive behind the shooting as well as working to identify the shooter. Seattle Police urge anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
